Letus35 Ultimates VS Letus35 Elite... worth the difference?

Just released the Letus 1/3" Relay for Panasonic HPX300 and JVC HD Series Camcorders...

Now thinking what adapter to order that would be the best option for the money with HPX300.

Please any inputs that might help taking a purchase decision?

Sorry... Brand-new on the subject with the Letus35... Formerly RedRock Micro end user.

Thank you so much in advance for your help.

The Ultimate will allow stopping down for better control of depth of field, without seeing GG grain. Spinning GG allows stopping down and is less susceptible to dirt staying on the glass vs. vibrating glass of the Elite. Higher shutter speeds are also possible with the Ultimate, although about 1/500th max.

The Ultimate has an external DC input and comes with a D-Tap coiled cable for powering off of an Anton-Bauer or V-Mount plate on ENG type cameras.

Jeff,

Thank you so much for your comments. Already aware about that and almost sold on the Ultimate.

Just wanting to hear some inputs from Letus owners and experienced people like you.

The HPX300 with that Letus Ultimate + the new 1/3" Letus Relay + Zeiss ZF Optics seems to be one of the best options.

Very much appreciated.

P&S has a new 1/3" version to be revealed at IBC supposedly and priced at the same price as the standard mini35C. 1/2 stop light loss.

You coudl get a Redrock Me too - it too has spinning glass - you can stop it down to anything you like and not see grain. 1/2 the price of Ultimate.
