Letus35 question...

I've read on a couple of threads that some owners of the original DVX100 have had problems with some 35mm adapters... Some adapters required that zoom all the way in. the classic 100 was apparently making focusing impossible, and i was wondering if this is the case with the Letus35? Can anyone clear this up... I'd had to drop some change on this and it not even work when i have to zoom all the way in.. Thanks!

I have mine set to f95 (infinity) and zoomed in about 70-95 depending on if I see some vignette on that shot. It's true that it's hard to focus with the letus. Some people recommended getting dvrack or an external monitor for this but I have to do it manually for now. Use your focus assistant through your evf. That may help some. Also, increase your detail level to +3 or more depending on how soft/sharp you want your footage to look like.

unclebenji (somneone else might confirm this) but from what I heard the original DVX is a no go with a 35 mm adapter. The reason has something to do with the DVX being able to macro focus on the gg of the adapter. Changed with the 100a.

I saw in another thread that you had to have a spacer to make the original DVX work iwth the M2 maybe it's the same for this. It would make sense if it is the lack of macro focus that is the issue.

We have the original and it works fine. I cant remember the exact numbers but the zoom is pretty far in, but not all the way. I think the focus is at 87.
