You are right, Its 43mm. The Letus35 Mini is built for smaller cameras that has thread size of 43mm and smaller.

this is exciting! I just ordered my extreme about 2 weeks ago. I'm wondering if they could have made the extreme smaller and lighter. They recommend going with the extreme if you have a larger camera like the HVX. why would it not work to work with 2 step down rings to get to 43mm? they say the quality of the mini is as good as the extreme. I'd really love to not have to use rails and have a more travel-friendly adapter.
