Letus35 Flip Enhanced use without rods ?

Hi,

New here, first post...

I just bought the Letus35 Flip Enhanced and I'll probably pick up CaVision rod support...but my question is...

If i'm using basic primes...nothing heavy...do i really need rod support ? I'll mostly be using a 50mm Nikon...it's not heavy at all...but i don't want to screw up my lens.

It's up to you...Quyen says you don't need it and disjecta doesn't either...but if you get into heavier primes like I have...it is comforting to know that my canon is not stressed.

I've got an L35FE, no rods. For anything up to about 100mm it's probably fine, but I wouldn't put my 200mm or 300mm lenses on it without support! It all depends on the size and weight of the lens.

No rods will be fine, just make sure the screws on the back holding the adaptor to the rotateble thread are done up, mine were but one a bit dodgey, gravity got the better of it after a few shots on a commercial I was shooting....cracked ground glass...oh well, I'm buying a brevis, twas nice having the flip but too much light loss....

Tom, not to worry..you'll get the flip back when our flip module is done. The first set is nearing completion.
