I decided tyo try to see just how far i could push my HVX200 and LetusX set-up yesterday. I shot at night, in my dark living room and for only light a small cluster of Christmas lights. It was so dark I don't think it was possible to see much of anything at all in most of the room.
But aiming at vases on front of the Christmas tiny whimpy "lights", I started to shoot. I had to have the 50mm Nikon lense at 1.4 and the HVX200 at OPEN and the shutter speed at a ridiculous 24 but to my surprise I was able to film and images came out more than decent...
I will upload them here when I get my PC back this week - sorry, my whole editing set-up is dismantled while PC is getting upgraded).
What surpised me most was the lack of intense noise. All in all, the image was more than decent (I thought - but I am curious to see what you experts think).
Plus the reflection of the little lights looked gorgeous in the tinted sheer vases and the DOF was... well.. simply amazing... All I can say is WOW. I didn't think I would be able to pull this near no light shoot off. And I am not even sure I know how to use the adapter correctly yet LOL...
