Letus Ultimate vs. Red Rock Micro

I haven't used the RR Encore, Philip Bloom posted on his blog that edge to edge was as good as the Ultimate using an EX1. I did speak to an Encore owner today who told me that he has seen spinning GG in the sky. The Ultimate lets you shoot at any f-stop with no GG issues.

Letus Ultimate is better, but I still don't think it's worth it's $4500 price tag. Thats my opinion. I still think its a great adapter.

I get perfect edge-to-edge and NO banding, even in skies - you just have to wait about 30 seconds for the glass to reach full speed - otherwise you do see banding. Never a problem when following good procedures.

I can't see how an Ultimate would be better in any way.

I dunno about the encore, but with the M2 I've had oddly rotating flare....this was on a Sony HDV camera though(can't remember model right now), but I havn't seen this on my M2/HVX combo yet though.

There is also a little screw under the switch that controls the variable speed of the groundglass on the Encore in reference to shooting the sky
