Letus ultimate GG ??

A question to all Letus ultimate user out there:
I've just received my Ultimate, and tested it today. It certainly is razor sharp!
But when testing slow-motion shot using my HVX (60p), I can definitely see the GG spinning, especially with high shutter speed (1/250, 1/500)... Letus claim the Ultimate could go with shutter speed faster than 1/1000 without seeing the GG; can anyone confirm this?
I also tend to see the GG when closing down the lens to F8 and F11... even when shooting at 24p..
Is my unit defective? or these are the Ultimate limitations???
Thanks!

(Lteus ultimate+HVX)

yes, I always shoot at 99. But i'm powering the unit with the D-Tap connector using V-Mount battery. Could that influence the speed of the motor?

I think I just found the answer to my problem: the nut holding the spinning GG is missing... Will have to contact Letus about that...
But will do more tests..

Holy Mackerel! You would think for $4500, QC should be complete to within razor thin margins of error! Of course, that's still much less expensive than a Mini35

Mine came out of the box with every screw loose. Must have been a turbulent plane ride!

how about you Dino? Can you see the spinning GG when closing down the aperture to F8-F11 or shooting in fast shutter speed (1/500, 1/1000)? And in overcrank mode?
I just put a replacement nut and it is now better, but I can definitely see the GG at, let's say, 24p F4 1/500 shutter speed, and at 24p F11 1/120 shutter speed. In overcrank mode (60p), I begin to see the GG at F4 1/250, and it's getting dramatic at 1/500.
Anyone experienced this? (I always shoot at 99 speed)
That being said, I still believe the Ultimate is one of the best adapter out there (price value, sharpness, build quality, light loss), but is it capable of all the things Letus claim it can? Maybe they just didn't test the 1/1000 shutter speed at F5.6, F8, f11, ... ??

I have not tried the high shutter speeds, but I have stopped down all the way to
F22 and not seen GG grain. I have found that I need to shoot at 99, 70 or lower
shows some grain even if the taking lens is wide open.

Is there any benefit at all for lower GG speed (saving batteries aside)?
In what situation would you use that?

My adapter has exactly the same issue. I can not use it with shutter speeds higher than 1/125th. So far I sent it back 2 times for repairs and it is still showing the very same issue after each repair. I´m in Austria/Europe and had to spend over 1000.- USD for shipping it back and forth so far - not counting import taxes and all the time I wasted with this non working adapter. Then there are the jobs I had to past because the adapter did not work as advertised. If they do not come up with a solution soon there will be no other way for me but to sue them - I really feel defrauded now.

Gerald,
That is really sad. I feel for you. I really like the footage that comes from the Letus, but for me quality control and customer service has been quite poor as well. My hypothesis is that Letus and some of the other gurella-indi companies are simply 'garage-based-start-ups' - it is probably unfair for me to expect too much out of them.
