Letus Rod Support

Does anyone know how heavy the rod support system built by Letus is?

I cant seem to find it, and it looks several pounds so im not sure if my tripod will be able to handle it all.
The tripod says it takes about ten pounds; added up, the camera and adapter is already 8.2 pounds.
This of course excludes a rod support system and lens.

All in all how much does the rod support system weigh?
In addition, if its border line, will my camera be safe with all of these accessories i've mentioned upon the tripod?

PS: the camera is a XH-A1

i duno how much it weighs...but i will tell u that u dont want all that expensive equipment u saved for/stole/ worked for, perched up on a "borderline" tripod. Personally i wouldnt put more than 8lbs on a 10lbs tripod...and even thats pushing it in my book. I like more headroom to work with. Its not gonna be nice when all that comes crashing down.

Gett a better tripod.

Lol classic reply. Hm yeah i've truly saved for it.
Anyway, can you recommend any tripods that are a reasonable price and will hold all this equipment without a worry?

Thanks! I lol'd at your reply.

I got those rods when they were released, along with my adapter.
In my opinion they are not the best design. I had to saw the bottoms off all the risers as they would stick out underneath, because i could not attach my tripod base plate (miller ds20). And I wanted to have the camera/adapter as low to the plate as possible, gravity wise.

Also found that the tripod thread part (larger block) 'fused' to the rods after tightening it enough to stay still, and once doing this it cannot slide/adjust at all - due to the design of the allans key placement/tightening location.

The adapter support is fine though.

In retrospect i would get the cinevate rails system as they don't stick out underneath and it looks to be tool less for adjustments.
