Im looking into a 35mm adapter for my DVX and am strongly considering a Letus
I was wondering if there is a big difference from the Flip and the new Economy and if so, which do you recommend
also would it be a good idea to spend a little extra and get the Extreme?
so its FLIP v ECONOMY v EXTREME
pros and cons?

thanks

The Flip's main advantage is low price. The Economy gives you about 1 stop better light performance (so, flip loses 1.5 stops, economy loses 0.5 stops). The Extreme gives you better build quality, a metal housing, and a custom condensor. Don't remember all the details, but they're on the LetusDirect or Adapterplace websites.

thanks
which would you recommend? being that their all within the same price range... sort of

I would go for the economy if you are on a budget. I had the FE and it is great, but I found myself lighting more and using more fixtures. SO the time on set and the extra fixtures I needed really made the price of the adapter a wash. It is a great adapter...If you have a nice kit of lights you will be fine. I would go for the extreme or economy...I bought the extreme, but just for the internal battery housing...It seems like a non issue, but it affects the workflow and the pro look of the camera. If the economy had an internal battery housing I would have picked it up over the extreme....

You can't buy from Letus and be unhappy...Great product great service...

is there a big difference from the Economy vs. Extreme?
as of now im siding towards the economy being as the only difference is the internal battery housing and construction? and what battery does the economy/extreme run on?

The Extreme and Economy both run on two AA batteries. Biggest difference is the casing. The Extreme is milled aluminum and the Economy is milled plastic. I personally prefer the look and feel of the Extreme but they are both great options. Let your budget decide.
