Letus on the HVX without the optimized version

Hey--

Anyone have much experience using an non HVX optimized Letus Extreme with the HVX? What's the real difference--the optimization seems a little gimmicky to me. Would like to know if it's necessary to get a nice image, or just a little frill.

The new Letus achromat, which I've used for EX1 and HVX200/200A, as well as HPX170, provides very good edge to edge focus and little CA. Without it, corners will be soft and there is likely to be more CA. See if you can test with and without it and return it if you don't see a difference--but use a resolution chart, not flowers!
