What are the tangible benefits of moving to the extreme? I shot some footage with my DVX100B the other day in the back yard with my flip on and the images look really sharp. What am I gaining by going to the extreme? I know the build quality is a little better, and the prism vs mirror mechanism.

I believe the exterme has less light loss, and requires rails. For the extra money, am I getting a sharper image? My 35mm f2.0 and 50mm 1.4 produce great bokehs imo with the flip.
 
worlds apart. Really no copmarison.

Better light loss, better build quality, better achromat, sharper, less CA.. the list goes on.
