Letus Flip and Brevis Flip owners: Zoom Through Test?

I wonder if you guys could try something for me: see if you can zoom straight through to 55.0 on your HVX without losing focus.

It's usually just a hair off on the Letus, but I wonder if the change in achromat distance with the addition of the flip modules allows the SGpro and Brevis units to do this as well.

Someone try it?

well when i put on the Flip unit for my SG, the MF # becomes like 60 instead of the usual 19. so it may just work.

Give it a try and let me know if it works, if you have the time. Post footage, if you can.

Also, note whether or not the focus slips at all. On the Letus it's a hair, but it's noticeable on a large screen, so I've made note on what to adjust to throughout the zoom.

Another question is:
How would you recalculate the FOV and Focal Length of a lens? Ex. 50mm @ 27.3 is about a 50mm Focal Length (I'm not exactly sure, to be honest, but it looks about right.) Zooming in further, at which point do you change the 50mm to an 85mm?

Or, has it TECHNICALLY changed at all?

K, it does. Cam's like the HV20 and XH-A1 can zoom to 100% without loosing focus when using our flip/optics package :-) It's not something I'd ever recommend due to the frame width loss, but it sure makes the system flexible if you're using slow fish-eye :-)
