Letus Extreme, XHA1 and Softbox

I'm all over it! Thanks for putting up LARGE files, as well; best representation of footage.

Watched: Can we please move the delivery date up to like tomorrow? I want to play with my own. =(

Noticed that there's hot spots on the face. Is that the softbox off to the left or just another light stand?

what lens? what aperture/stop? What shutter speed on the cam?

Looks great, as always.

May have been hot spots, I was having too much fun shooting to notice. To be honest, I think I may have adjusted the levels a little too much in some shots in Vegas....no zebras during the shoot.
 
I especially like Steven D. Katz's book "Film directing shot by shot" on the coffeetable. :)

I can't hardly wait till I get my extreme.

Just upgraded my FE to the Extreme. Someone tell me I'm a genius cause I just feel really poor. Keep posting this stuff Disjecta, I need to see how awesome it is.
 
Okay, enough playing around - ordering one NOW. Thank you for all the footage disjecta, you should get some percentage of Letus' sales :) Were you using an HD monitor to do the focus or was that all done on board the camera? Fantastic either way! :D

Can you provide details on your light kit? and the softbox. How are you liking the Letus extreme. Have you used other DOFA before? How does the Letus compare?

I used a 1000w softbox as the key to the left of my subject. I also used a high mounted 250w Lowel Pro light for some backlight/rimlight and another Lowel Pro 250w set to flood as a fill.

I've used all versions of the Letus and this one is superior in every way.

Wow! That's incredibly crisp! If the HVX200 / Letus Extreme combo can shoot in the same league, then I'm sold! (currently shopping for a cam and a 35mm adapter...)
