Letus Extreme vs SGblade

I have an EX1. I need a 35mm adaptor. I'm on a budget. Which is better?
Letus Extreme or SGblade?

Feedback please. May the force be with you.

Seeing as people have just started to test the SGBlade and that the Letus Extreme has been around for a while, I'd say it's hard to tell. My personal recommendation is to test them out yourself. All too often people start the versus threads. Which cameras between theses.. Which adapter between these. Which mattebox, follow focus, Vegas hooker, etc.

I think when you don't know... try 'em all on for size! That way you get your answer... and we all don't get overwhelmed with versus threads.

too soon to tell, SG Blade has not been put through its paces yet, although currently things are looking good. If we judge it the same way I judge women, SG Blade wins... so much sexier looking lol.... okay.. I need help

Joseph's advice is very sound. What works for one person may not work for another. Do the research, contact users and see if you can get a demonstration so you can make an informed decision.

I am one of those who has recieved the SGBlade and I'm taking it out for it's first run this afternoon.

After building my own DIY mid-format adapter and all of the experience and knowledge that comes with that, I decided that the SGBlade gave me most of the features I wanted and a price point that made sense. But that's just me. You may have different needs and you should base your decision on which adapter most fills those needs.

Rely on forums like this to find out about build and picture quality. The rest is up to you.

I would choose the SG Blade. I've used the Letus Extreme for about 3000 minutes of shooting, and the build quality is mediocre. I had to buy a 2nd one in the middle of production because of issues. Then the 2nd one had issues as well. They're great when they work, but when they don't its a nightmare.

The SG Blade are built more solid and I think I'll be trying something other than the letus next time around. Either that or I'll have more than 1 on hand as a backup.

Kyle, I don't understand why you had to buy a second one. Was the first one out of the 1 year warranty??

...Or were in such a bind you needed one right away so you were willing to splunk down $1200 to keep the show rolling??

I've owned a flip and an extreme which I shoot all the time and do love for some things... but my choice, given the two options, would be a Blade... easy choice once you have a tracking shot towards the sky...

If you're getting grain masking with sky shots on an oscillating adapter, something's definitely not right. Shooting under f5.6, there should be none!
