Letus Extreme - need your help

1) Backfocus on the groundglass is probably off. Needs to be properly adjusted by stopping the lens down to f16 or so and focusing on the GG grain.
2) Lens is shot wide open, will result in a soft picture. Stopping down to f2.8-f4 yields the sharpest image.
3) Focusing by the onboard LCD, not a good idea. Get an HD field monitor and use that.

Try testing with a chart or using a tripod. Its hard to really see what is going on.

Huy Vu's advice is solid. Focus on the GG is very important - even if your focus is spot on your subjet, all images will be soft. Also, back focus of the canon mount is important - infinity will not actually focus at infinity and all marks will be off if it is not set properly.

What is the minimum focusing distance of your lens? In one portion of the video, the chair is in focus but the man is not. Could be due to a bad focus pull or simply not being within range of your minimum focus. If this is the case, you need to move back farther from your subject.
