Hi guys!

I'm shooting a music video soon on a ex1 +letus extreme.

The lens mount we are using is canon FD. I am curently looking for a lens with 20mm or less and it's very hard to find. Is there any other brands than canon that used to have FD mount, like tamron, sigma etc.

with other word: What can I put on my letus extreme with fd mount besides canon fd lenses?

You can find third party lens choices in FD mount flavours...but your chances of finding a fast 20mm is likely slim :-(

My single favourite wide angle lens (and that includes primes) for adapter use is the Nikon 17-35mm f2.8D constant aperture. It's edge to edge sharpness and falloff characteristics are excellent. What we've found is that at wide angles, zoom lenses tend to peform better at a given f-stop than prime lenses. I've only tested with the Brevis35..so definetely check with your Letus compatriots on this point.

With FD lenses you shouldn't even bother looking at 3rd party lenses, none of them are very good. Keh have several 20mm f2.8 listed now.

What he said about off-brand lenses.

Avoid the 17/4.0 FD lens...it even vignettes a little bit on a film camera, it's only going to get worse on an adapter.

Adorama currently has an "Excellent-plus" condition 14/2.8 FD lens for $900. (They call it a fisheye in their description...but it's not. It's the widest rectlinear wide angle Canon made.)
