Letus Extreme + Canon A1

Hi there,

I own a A1 and I'd like to get myself a letus extreme.

The thing is I'm not sure if I can reuse my DSLR gear.

Can I use the following lenses with the letus?

Sigma 50mm 2.8 Macro
Sigma 50-150mm 2.8
Canon 50mm 1.8
Canon 17-55mm 2.8 IS

I've read that the 17-55mm won't work. Why's that? What about the image quality. Do you think I can go for the letus with that gear? Is it possible to take some indoor shots with 2.8 light stop? (+0.5 from the letus)

Can someone suggest me a good wide angle (<35mm) lens for the letus? (Any lens)

Thanks
Tempi

If your lenses are EF-S lenses, they're not gonna work. The image area that they're design to project is really small compared to a 35mm frame and there'll be extreme (pardon the pun) vignetting.

As to the other lenses if they're regular EF mount they'll work.

What will be "enough" indoor really depends on how well lit the room is. f2.8 is slow, but workable. I'd always say don't buy faster lens, just add more lights :)
