Hello to all Letus EX users or anyone who can help.

I can't seem to go above a 5.6 on my Nikon lenses without seeing diagonal GG lines.

Has anyone been able to figure out a way to go beyond that without seeing the GG lines?

I've tried ND's on the Nikon Lens. but no luck... also all variations of Camera f stop and adapter f stop.

Fresh batteries.

I just want a bit more stop for some shots.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

hrm, well, i know that adapters in generally, when vibrating, don't usually stop down too much due to the GG becoming visible.

what are your detail settings in camera?

The main idea behind a 35 mm adapter is to reduce DOF. So for most people wide open to a max of f5,6 is ideal

I can see someone wanting to have a broader DOF to get something besides the main subject in focus without taking off the adapter. In that case you can try a wide angle lens.

Lets say that you want to use a 50 mm but you need the depth. What you do is use a 24 mm that has the infinite focus at a little over 5' and zoom the camera to cover the 50 mm angle.

Not been able to use a smaller aperture or high speed is a limitation of the LEX. There are other adapters that don't have this particular limitation, but they loose 2 f stops.

I hope that helps.

Yea thats an issue on my go35 also. you cant go past F2.8. The SG is not so suceptible to this, but often i try to shoot with my 35mm lens apeture near F4 indoors, and F8 outdoors. It gives the most realistic looking image overall. and believe me, there is still PLENTY of shDOF @ F8 on a 50mm, 85mm, 105mm, 200mm lens......
