Letus Elite w/Nikkors Test (PIX)

First time I used the Adapter. These pix were part of lens and device familarisation testing process.

HVX202 720p (PAL) Nikkor lenses on Letus Elite

Hope I have posted these grabs correctly. (Originally they were 2.7mb per frame)

No CC or levels correction (ie.straight out of the camera and NLE)

The last picture is my "worst" lens from my kit in the tests I ran onthe complete set. (28-70mm Zoom). It is still very acceptable in my opinion

Thanx. Those colors are what I call the Panasonic "look" .

My HVX, my DVX and my 2 Panny still cameras all have the same "look" and it is why I use Pannys instead of Sonys or Canons etc.

A further test I did (unposted) was to check the look of the Panny with and without the Letus Adapter. I would easily be able to cut between these scenes. That now gives me the ultimate control over DOF for my shoots. (I have adapted the adapter for quick removal and can do it in 2 minutes comfortably)

BTW : My complete set of Nikkors did not display any color discrepancies between them as I had expected. Basically a matched set with slight contrast differences.

Here are some pix from an actual shoot.

Some are not using the adapter . Can you tell which ones?

Cheese, Lettuce and Tomato were shot without the Adapter.
Fries were shot with adapter (slomo tumble shot)

Note the different bokeh ifrom the HVX lens in the tomato shot.

Must get my eyebrows trimmed before I do this again !

No!
We're men! We're supposed to have fuzzy eyebrows!

The grabs look amazing.
I must say that the two first grabs you posted were definitely the best ones.
Amazing light, shadow and detail.
And I like the colors as well.

Yeah, this seems like a great adapter and some very nice lenses:)

If I were to guess which grabs are without the adapter I would say the fries and maybe the tomato shot.. It looks more like it's zoomed in rather than from a nikon lens..
Hehe..

But it's tough to say.. they all look fairly similar:huh:

EDIT:
Damn!
Hehe, I saw after I posted that you had already revealed it:P :P :P

O.K, O.K... I will keep the brows just so I have something to focus on and test the sharpness of my lenses and my Letus.

If the brows aint sharp...the lens gets binned.

His test....

Depending on which part of the brow, the outer part is 500 hoizontal lines, the inner eyebrow at 600 in horizontal resolution.

The eyelashes on the lower lid registers 700-800 effective horizontal resolution

eyeglass frame determines any barrel distortion of a sort.
