Hello
We are shooting a shortmovie in about 1 month from now. However, im having a dilemma because i recently bought the Sony A7s together with a Samyang 35mm T1.5 lens(full frame). Now this is a great combination but i want to take advantage of my Century anamorphic lens aswell. The only problem is that while having the camera on "full frame" mode the edges on the anamorphic lens are visible while if i turn on APS-C mode they are not. And also buying the Atomos shogun external recorded once its out.
Now i have 3 options.
1. Record the movie in full-frame mode without anamorphic lens in 4k and simply crop it/letterbox (however, am i not then limited to 1080p in final render?)
2. Record the movie in APS-C mode with anamorphic lens in 4k
3. Find a smaller 35mm fullframe lens wich is compatible with the Century anamorphic lens.
The only problem is that imo it gets abit to zoomed in in APS-C mode for my taste. Also, what advantages/disadvantages is there to record in fullframe vs APS-C ?
