Let's see who is a Noob and who is a Pro... lol

Obviously I have lower standards when it comes to noob (not newb) vs. pro. I have a simple question I ask: "Complete the following sentence: yellow and blue make ______?"

If they say "green"... = newb (they can PA for me).

If they say "white"... = pro (and they can work in my camera department and/or make decisions on my lighting).

WHOO HOOO!!!! 67%,.. what is that a D+ or C- ? ... yep that's par for the course for me.

It was all luck, they might as well have put it on youtube for quality. The had the ASC member oversee everything, but compressed the hell out of it,.. great.

Well that was fun anyway.

Well as I had same as you I guess that puts me about the same... again whats the point with compressed images though?

If you're final output is going to be compressed SD like this video does it really matter that much whether you originate on film or digital except in terms of latitude?

Edit:
Frank, they may not necessarily be trying to show that the Genesis has as good as or better latitude than film. Panavision rents out film cameras too so this is kind of a win-win test for them.

Yeah, unlike some other propaganda, haha. We had to sit through this Kodak propaganda film in film school just a year and a half ago about how far superior film was to digital, and I'm thinking, well, yeah, you're KODAK, of course you're going to say that! The digital footage they showed was some of the worst I've ever seen, and the film footage was gorgeous. It was just nonsense, it reminds me of what we call a strawman in philosophy arguments -- you take the weakest version of your opponent's arguments and knock them down. So you show the worst HD footage you can find, then tear it apart. Plus it was just full of ludicrous comments. It was nothing but film this, film that, HD sucks, digital blows, etc. Then they had this guy who said, "Digital will NEVER be as good as film. Ever." Well, it's nice to have your mind made up about something so that no matter what evidence comes to light, your mind is made up. Sounds like a smart guy! haha
