Hi guys,

You may have heard something about that volcanic cloud that has collapsed all the airports in europe and many all around the world....

Let's see who is the one to make a film about this!

Anyone affected by it?

We might be.

MARIANNE starts shooting in the north of Sweden on May 2nd, and four actors and most of my crew need to get to location.
Plane tickets are booked already, and this cloud might affect both air and train travel.

Ironically, last time we shot, on March 1st, air and train travel was affected by the immense cold. We'll see what happens for the July shoot.

All these climate issues are the republicans fault anyway, right?
DAMN YOU GEORGE W. BUSH!

:)

Well the haze should save people a lot of money on scrims and silks and make for some purdy pictures.

I was wondering how long until it shows up in North America. Everyone be careful, don't want to catch the pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicavolcanoconiosis!

This thing kicked out more pollution then the combined output of ALL cars on the planet EVER...since the very first one...EVER!

...so who gets to pay the carbon tax on this one?

I see no politics over here, if there is please mods delete the political words or statements and the new posters don't talk about it.

Thats it... We must pass a law that says volcanos can't erupt! It's causing Global Warming!!!

It is a beautiful shot though...

OK, I got your film idea for ya, free of charge:

Based off event ripped from today's headlines, a rom-com and/or har-larious sex romp.

A group of New York lovable loser geeks (ala the gang from Knocked Up) who just can never seem to score come up with the ultimate plan: Head on down to JFK airport and hit on all the lovely European ladies who are stuck at the airport, due to a volcano that has just exploded back in Iceland. (country may be changed)

I can see it now, the guys sitting around a dingy, nerdy apartment.
Geek #1 "Guys, when are we gonna score?"
Geek #2 "Gentleman, I think I may have found our answer"
Cut to TV, cute girl talking to reporter, "I only have six dollars to my name, what am I gonna do?"

Of course one of the geeks will somehow succeed in hooking up with a stranded girl, ultimately developing into a romance. "At first it was just a dare, I never knew I'd end up falling in love with you." Or whatever. You're the creative scriptwriter, you figure the rest out. My work is done here.
