Let's Have Some Audio Fun....Contest anyone?

I guess the nextt step here is to get the chops from Alex H. and then the rest of DVX mods, and finally.....the Admins here. I will send out PM's and inquire....

Then we want to come up with some fair rules for everyone.......and find a clip that another DVX'er would like/be willing for us to use. It will have to have a higher level challenging clip....something with a busy sound-scape. Once we have the nuts and bolts down......I think requsting a "sticky" in the camera/Use Film section may be in order to get the footage.....

Do we want to do ADR? or should the clip include dialogue stem only? Or maybe something with no dialog, to make it easier to focus on just the sound design

I'd choose a clip with no visible talking, unless it's a wide shot without readable lips... then leave it 100% open... letting people make it as complicated or simple as they want... any combination of music, nat sound, VO, and effects.

I don't know the size and scope you're going after, but it doesn't seem like it should be a big deal if it's not taking away from anything else going on here. (seems like a good idea to me)
 
ADR isn't really an option with out the original actors. I guess you could dub it. In that case I would see if there is any Hong Kong action films at the Internet Archive.
