Lets FE - Detail Question

I have shot several projects on with my dvx 100b and Letus FE. I am not getting the sharpnes I would like out of the FE. And I have noticed on very bright exterior shots there is a faint image of the GG even though the adapter is on. Perhaps I am over critical?

There are three Letus videos on my youtube channel...If anyone cares to throw in their ideas? I am new to the adapter thing.

Generally speaking with the FE you are going to see a very faint GG pattern when you are shooting bright areas like skies, etc. It's because the GG is a coarser pattern on the FE than on the Extreme or Economy. What you are seeing is to be expected. Try to avoid shooting areas where there is a large amount of bright colors. This GG pattern is not noticeable when shooting under conditions where contrast is more even.

Thanks Disjecta, I have already ordered my Extreme, but I wanted to make sure I was not setting up the adapter incorrectly.

With an FE/DVX combo I usually have detail at +7 with Cine Like V in the scene files.

You do loose shartnes with an adapter.
I hk up my camera to a monitor and adust the setting util I like the results... I found that +7 with adapter was about equal to lens and no adater sharpness.
