Leopard Problems With Fcp Version 5.1.4

I'm having issues with Leopard and FCP.

1) It's slower than it was when I had Tiger installed.

2) 1080i footage from HVX is not playing very well in the Viewer. It starts and stops continuously.

3) The font in FCP has changed to some weird font.

These are the only issues I've encountered so far.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Great, now I'm having the same start/stop problem with 720 footage too!

Did you do all the normal maintenance? Trashed your preferences?

You sure your viewer and canvas are all set to fit to fill?

i thought you needed to be running FCP 6.0.2 with Leopard.

No, you need 5.1.4 and up.

I shut down the computer for a while. Rebooted and tried again. Now it works perfectly. 1080 and all. Hmmm... Strange.

Strange yes... but the reboot clears out all the chuff.
