Lensing Options for Narrative Music Video

Hello y'all.

I've his a massive brick wall with my knowledge off lensing for a shoot.

I'm shooting a narrative based Music Video (on a 60D), the whole filmic look blah blah blah, victorian steam punk england blah blah. I have some cash left in the budget (£100 or so), and I feel like raiding Hireacamera.com for a lens (or 3 as I'll explain below). Obviously being the said theme, low light, dust, smoke etc are all going to be used.

I've been HUGELY excited about the Samyang/Rokinon Cine lenses, so I was thinking about hiring the 14mm/24mm/35mm, giving me a nice prime range to work with, however with those lenses being extremely new, I haven't been able to find any half-decent examples & reviews of them.

Alternatively, I am half tempted to hire the 16-35mm. I used it on one of my last Music Videos, and it produced some of the nicest images I've got from the camera.

I'd like some thoughts about the above options. I'm also open other ideas about lensing, but as I said, tight budget!

Ta!

Depends largely on what you already have, and what you want to do.

I'd imagine the 14mm/24mm/35mm isn't going to really give you a nice "range" like you want, only occasionally on a shoot do I go below 35mm and only would go down to 14mm for specialty shots... so if you're anything like me, most of the time the 14mm and 24mm is just going to be sitting in a box wasting money.

That said, if you do have a few of those specialty shots planned, the extra rented lenses can really make them shine...
plus you may lens and compose shots entirely differently from me. So again, it comes back to what you need, what you want and what you like.
If I weren't getting a full set of primes, I'd rather get the 16mm-35mm rather than the 14mm/24mm/35mm.
