Where is a good place to learn about lenses and photography information along the lines of lenses and composition with them? Any suggestions on some books? I'd like to learn things such as what type of lenses (and why!) cause deep focus and which ones cause shallow focus; the why is very important to me. Other ideas I can name of are wide angle and anamorphic lenses, these are the only examples I have because these are the only features I know about lenses. I feel somewhat in the dark when people talk about millimeters lenths and focal numbers to go with. I'm interested in understanding what makes a lense quality and be able to determine that from reading specifications about the lense. I'd appreciate any help or direction in this matter as to where to find this information, thank you very much.
