Lenses or Adapters

1.) If I understand correctly, the HVX does not allow you to change lenses, however, you can get adapters for the lens it comes with -- is this correct?

2.) Which additional lenses or adapters are out there? I did not see any on the HVX accessories page.

Thanks.

The new home for your thread is a great place to start. Start with the stickies at the top of this section, they will give you a good foundation and some terms to begin more in-depth searches.

Brevis
sgpro
Redrock M2
Letus 35FE

and so on, and so on, and so on... There's lots of adapters out there, but there is a lot more to learn than just what specific adapter you want... They are all capable, and one may be more suitable to your particular style than another

Enjoy your searching :)

Stop the madness. They are not "all capable". Some of them really suck in terms of focus, grain, customer service, image centering, build quality, etc.

Adaptors are not like children, unique and special. Some are just better in every respect that matters.

Sounds more like your personal opinion to me. However, regardless, there are plenty of users of each of the four adapters I listed above on this board. And, plenty of folks who find their chosen adapter to be the best for THEIR needs. You like the SGPRO. I like what I have seen from the Brevis....

It's not madness. It's making the information available, and letting the individual make the choice on their own based on their own needs.

The LETUS flips (it's the only one for the time being). That may be the most important thing to one person. The Redrock spins. It has pro's and con's as a result. The Brevis vibrates and has pro's and cons as a result. the brevis is very scalable, which may be most important to one persons needs. Yes some adapters do suck. But, I can find plenty of posts from users on this board who find one of those 4 adapters to be the best for them.

All adapters have their own pluses and minuses which makes one more or less suitable depending on an individuals needs and what their eye finds aesthetically pleasing. Coming in here and screaming madness because I gave a vague question a vague answer, and encouraged the original poster to do his own research and find out what works for him is just....
