lenses for dvx 100a

hey, just got a .7 wide angle lens for my camera and when i attached it the corners were cut out so i had to zoom in so the a full image would appear. is that normal? are there additional attachments i would need? and are certain lenses better suited for dvx 100a?

its called vignetting and you get it from .3 fish eye lenses or just really crappy lenses. Nothing you can do but zoom through it. Never go cheep on lenses.
