Lense Flare effects?

[J5 squared]

I'd like to know how to do some better lense flare effects than the ones with the stock plugin on vegas 6. Are there any other plugins you can download for more effects? The flares i'm thinking about are not only basic looking flares but also when u get a blue or rainbow colored line across the screen. I have really wanted to figure out how to do these after watching the aphex twin video for "windowlicker" as they were used alot in it. Can these effects be done in vegas or would they have to be done in an outside program like after effects?

You can get better lens flares if you couple the vegas flare with CreativEase or similar tool. Shine is the bomb with this, same with Panopticum, but neither will work in Vegas.
