Lens Turbo II Anyone tried the new EF-M4/3RDS Version yet?

For $160.00 bucks I figured it's worth a try, the other mounts that use the newer optics and better coatings seem to be as good, and sometimes test better than the speedbooster. It's suppose to correct edge to edge sharpness, handle flare better and eliminate the "blue dot issue" version one had when filming into lights or sun. I'm curious if anyone on the forum has used version two yet, and what their findings are. Anyone?

Not yet here mate - but I was looking at the same new RJ version in the Nikon mount. Yeah, I suspect it's better overall, but any significant improvement on the blue dot thing would be a real win.

I have 4 cameras that need a speedbooster but I only have 1 Metabones and 1 Mitakon. So that $160 vs. $400 thing is looking really compelling right now for the other 2.
Especially because using all 4 at the same time is only about 1/4 of my shoots.

FWIW - the Mitakon I have is outstanding optically EXCEPT for the blue dot issue. I can work around that with framing usually, but it means I have to man that camera instead of one of my other Ops running it. Not that I don't trust them - it's just that issue of "any mistakes ultimately land on me" thing.

And it looks like the Mitakon for Nikon to MFT has run out or vanished from the market so I think I'll have to check out that new RJ version sometime in the next few weeks.
When I do I'll check the blue dot and flaring status and report back here.

I went directly to the manufacturer for the EF-M4/3RDS, They were sold out everywhere. It may be a little more money and take longer to ship, but they were the only place to buy from. I should be receiving it in the next week, along with the Samyang 50mm Cine lens. I'll also do some testing with that combo. From what I've researched, the LT II, is as good as the speed booster in terms of optics, speedbooster seems to be built a bit better, as long as you drop it, you should be fine though.
