lens spots

Is there a way in FCP to remove or lessen dirt spots from the lens? I know it would be a frame by frame job but it only happens on one small scene for me.

You could rotoscope it out. Very long process, but it works.

how do I clone it out in AE? I have AE and am wondering what to do.

It's similar as to in Photoshop (using the stamp tool). If you open After Effects and open the help, search clone. The first entry in the search should help you out...

You're basically copying a clean part of the image (that's similar to the bad spot) and painting on top of the problem. If your spot is in the sky or something similar, it shouldn't be too hard.

Very useful info, I've never opened After Effects. This is gonna be something to try.
