Lens list on a $8000 budget???

I am planning to buy the Redrock M2 (indie complete package) to work with a HVX-200, for music video shoots. Based on what i have read and seen, I have a preference for Nikon Lenses, but will also be getting a PL mount for the M2. A DP has also spoken well of Zeiss Lenses but i don't know much about them or how they can fit the adapter.

What would be a good list of lenses and other accessories if working with a $8000 budget. Specific models and prices would be really helpful (links would be a blessing). I personally don't have enough experience to sift though the various models myself. I've been looking at lenses at bhphoto.com.

I am also impressed by the Letus35 Extreme Cine Bundle. If wanted to get that as a second adapter (in the future), how would this influence the choice of accessories to bought now?

So you want to spend $8000 but you don't have the time to sit down and do some research? Wish I had a money tree in my front yard.

Zeiss sells lenses with a Nikon mount everyone speaks highly of. If you go PL mount I would just rent a nice Zeiss or Cooke lens set on a job to job basis.

Lol. ok i dont have a money tree.

I will need to do additional reseach and understand every item on that list BEFORE spending even a dime, but i need to have a meaning full list by the end of the day (actually within the next 6 hours).

The disadvantage of renting is that

1. I would have to SHIP lenses from Miami to my current location (Non-US).
2. I really want to be able to shoot music videos and short films with as few recurring costs as possible. I would prefer to know that it is only in the RARE case that i would need to rent a lens (and go through the import hassles which that would entail!).

If $8000 is too high, just let me know. I am qouting that figure because i see lenses that sell for $2000-$3000, as well as more affordable ones that are only $500. I also see lenses for $25,000 but that would require several ACRES of money trees growing simultaneously for me to afford that!

It depends on what you want to get, although if I had 8k to burn I'd step up to Cine Lenses and avoid SLR altogether. Might as well spend like 10-12k at that point

Look for Consignment shops and find yourself a set of Cooke S4's or Zeiss SuperSpeeds maybe? Heck, even a set of newer Lomo's geared go for 1400.00 on Ebay. Try those.

OR maybe the two Red One Zooms? That's well under 8k and still CineGlass.

1. Are the Red One lenses AVAILABLE? Or is it a year-long wait like the camera?

2. Is it that i can definately use ANY of the Nikon SLR Lenses that i come across? or are thier some that wont fit or won't be good for my (HVX-200/M2) purposes? i see some AutoFocus / Manual Lenses.
