Lens Hood Modification

I have modified my lens hood by adding a hinge and a homemade shunshade.  I am new to the DVX and I have noticed that it gets a lot of flare especially when pointed near the sun.  I decided that it was almost imperative for outside, run and gun shooting, I was sick of blocking the sun with my hand, hence the sunshade was born.  It works really well and stays in place when I adjust it accordingly.

However, I dont always want iton the cam and now I have a permanent  adjustable sunshade on my lens hood and was wondering how to buy or find the one that came with the camcorder? Were do I go on the Panasonic page to get a new one?  Or is there a comparable 72mm lens hood that I can find?

I guess I wasn't that clear on what the issue is. I have a sunshade that I created with tin and a hinge, however it is permantly on the DVX and I was wondering were to buy the stock lenshade because mine has been modified and I dont always need or want the sunshade attachment on my cam. Where can I buy a comparable nice looking lenshade for the DVX? Any Ideas?
