In the past I have purchased IndiSystem's lens gear but I feel that screwing each of those 4 individual allen screws in is a bit too time consuming and hard to screw all them at equal lengths. In addition, some of the allen screws that Tim provided are too long for my Nikon 180mm lens. So I was looking at the RedRockMicro lens gear. However, I was wondering if I'm going to have the same problem with different size lens such as my 24mm to my 180mm or 200mm lens. Will those lens gear work? Any suggestion/recommendation of lens gear is much appreciated. In addition, since when focusing the lens barrel do get longer or shorter, I need a lens gear that is quite wide (I'm not referring to the diameter). What I have done was I used two IndiSystem's lens gear together on one lens to make it wider so that when I am using the follow focus, it does not fall off due to the length's of the lens barrel changing. If anyone can recommend other alternatives or proper way to use a lens gear, I appreciated too.
