Lens For Redrock

Wider lenses can vignette sometimes on adapters like the redrock. Also wider lenses tend to have slower apertures. Ive got a 28mm and its F2.8 which is often too dark to use without afew redheads.... Wide lenses can also distort the image into a semi fisheye or goldfish bowl effect.

You can get a 50mm 1.4 used much cheaper... Look at keh.com or ebay. That 50/1.8 D AF has a bunch of bells and whistles that you will not be using, so why pay for them? The old Ai and AiS lenses from Nikon have a more solid construction (in general) and will work just fine with your adapter.

bringing the old thread back! Ok, so with my redrock(used) comes a canon FD mount, an i best off buying a canon fd lense? or trading it and getting a nikon? I'm very limited on money, thanks!

Sorry, hate to do it but it's one of my biggest pet peeves: Please at least spell "lens" correctly. If you ever want to go pro you'll need to have that one sorted out.

Now back to the subject at hand....

Ok, so i've found some nice canons and nikons, so now my question is. should i just keep the Canon FD mount that will come with my redrock of trade it for a Nikon mount. Thanks for all your opinions:thumbsup:
