Lens for DVX100a

I was looking into getting the century 0.3x fisheye for my dvx, but want something that has no viginette on the corners. Looking for something to give the affect of the fisheyes that are used on arriflex cameras . Also looking for soemthign i can get extremely close to anything bevause i am filming rollerblading and skiing/snowboarding. The highest i can go in price is about 1200$.

thanks

hahahaha Attic6 really knows his ****

are yopu kidding? that home made thing isnt going to do anything. plus, he wants NO vig... thats pretty much the deffinition of vignetting. if your willing to spend 1200, then just get a MKII (the .3x century fisheye) for the DVX. look, theres no vignetting, you probubly think that vignetting is the black circles on the corners of the screen (guess what, that happens with all fisheyes that arnt semi-fisheyes. the lens made from century) vignetting is the BLURRING at the EDGE of the black circle corners. the MKII is nsaine, you can get INCREDIBLY close, it has the most distortion, and the widest field of view iv ever seen on a fisheye thats under $1000.

your only other option is a $3500 fisheye from century called the "extreme fisheye". and if your willing to spend that much and your namers not ty evans.... your the saddest little fruit-booting piece of **** iv ever seen.

I SAID GOOD DAY SIR!!!

The MK2 .3x Century Fisheye does have a lot of vignetting which you have to zoom past Z60 to completely get rid of.. and when you zoom in that far you barely get a distorted fisheye image.. At Z60 with no vignetting the MK2 gives you the width of the $300 Century Fisheye adapter. I usually keep the Zoom at 10-12 which will give you a good amount of barrell distortion and minimal vignetting.. But the vignetting is still there.

I would be interested in seeing pics of the DVX100's image with the $3000 Century Xtreme Fisheye adapter. Does anybody know anywhere in NY that you can rent this Xtremely Xpensive lens?

Make sure you judge vig on overscan not on your vf or lcd. The Century .3x for the DVX is the king of all fisheyes. To zoom past for overscan isn't a big deal either.

I just made the DIY fisheye yesterday and it is amazing!

super clear and no vignetting at 0 zoom and as you zoom in you get slight vignetting and then it goes away again at zoom 60.
It is super clear and does not noticably alter the image quality unless you are scrutinizing the image frame by frame:)
