Lens cleaner issue?

Hey everyone, I use a DVX100 and a Tiffen 72mm UV filter to protect the lens. I clean the outside of the UV filter regularly with this store bought brand lens cleaner my friend gave me. It seems to work well enough, I'm quite gentle and use the tissue paper by wetting it with a few drops of the clean and gently massaging it around the filter. I then dry it the same way with a dry tissue.

Not too long ago, I took my filter off to clean a small particle on the other side and in the light I noticed what I thought were very very very fine scratches on the UV filter. I only saw them once in the right light, and I'm not sure if they were scratches or just some marks from me wiping with the tissue.

In any case, I panicked, ordered a new Tiffen filter and some 15 dollar lens cleaning kit off B&H. I got the tiffen filter, but since the snow attack, my lens cleaner has been delayed and all I have is the store bought brand lens cleaning kit.

My new tiffen filter is a bit dirty apparently (it came that way, to my saurprise) and I need to clean it off before use. I'm paranoid that the tissue paper I'm using from the cleaning kit might scratch up the UV filter, or worse, my lens. Would a lens cleaning tissue paper actually do this if it's a really cheap brand? or can I trust a store bought brand, regardless? I have one of those soft, eyeglass cleaning rags I could use if I wash it. What's more, would these tiny scratches I saw even make a difference with the image so close to the lens? Am I just being really paranoid?

I have to shoot tomorrow so I'm in a pinch. Can I clean my new Tiffen filter with these store bought tissue papers or should I just use the old lens for now and wait?
