Lens Baby

It seems more suited for still photography.
I always figured that on a moving image it would look like "borg vision" from Star Trek or something.

It is something that would be cool to use on a 35mm adapter, but it would not provide a substitute for one.

Based on a sample pictures, it looks more like it blurs a small part of the 2-D image, once it has been flattened by the lens rather than blurring everything that does not exist within a certain plane in 3-D reality. So I gotta go with Owen on this thing looking like Borg Vision rather than a traditional film image. It might be fun to mess around with for stylized sequences, but I can't see using it for much else.

They use these or something like it, in most of your drug and fighting scenes in a featured film. For ex. Blood sport- the part where Frank Dux gets something rubbed in his eyes, from the other fighter.

A lens baby is a "ghetto" or "crude" version of a tilt shift lens. If you don't know what one is, google it.
