Lens Adapters for Medium Format

telcoman

I have made an adapter for the 645 and the image size on the GG is slightly larger than the 35mm image but the image size significance is overwhelmed by lens cost, limited lens focal lengths thus less versatility.

We have the RB 67 and i think its not ideal due to weight of the lenses and the longer flange depth would result in a longer, thus bulkier adapter.

I have however made an adapter that would allow me to use the 645 lenses on another adapter i made for nikon lenses. But I don't use those lenses often as nikon 35 lenses which are lighter.

heres one of the threads on this; http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=118399

I designed the adapter. You cannot use the 6x7 lenses, much too heavy but the 645 lenses are available in the use market at very reasonable prices.
I have some HD footage available but have not had any luck in posting it on Vimeo having problems with the proper compression set up. Looking around it seems I am not the only one having problems.

I saw this Pro Optic 645 Depth of Field Adapter at Adorama. http://www.adorama.com/PRODOFA.html?searchinfo=70mm dof adapter&item_no=2

A couple of questions -

1) Anyone try this - how was the quality of the images you got out of it.

2) I don't have any 645 mid-format lenses but I do have 67 lenses for my Mamiya RB67. Anyone know of an adapter that'll take the RB67 lenses.

thx

check out vimeo.com search for winston vargas and also www.youtube.com/vargas095 . You will see footage there.

Winston,

At this point in the game, with several established adapters out there, buyers and adapter users know already the concept and are looking more critically at footage to compare between adapters for use in mid to high end cameras.

Posting on youtube and vimeo is not the way to sell and show footage for critical review.

Allow users access to :

A "beautifully" shot material cinematography and content wise.

Full res footage that we can download.

Footage shot by higher end cameras, NOT just hv20.

Resolution chart tests and the like to back up claims on better grain handling and chromatic abberation handling.
