leica lenses and the hvx

[dogcat]

just wondering if anyone has had the chance or is using Leica lenses with the hvx. We don't hear too much about that around here but if you have any comments feel free.

Not many people have Leica lenses. I'd love to give it a shot, myself... although in my case I'd prefer R to M lenses. I forget which of the adapters offers the mount, but I recall one of them does.

I use my Leica lens with the HVX everytime it goes out.

What is the difference betweent the R and M lenses? I know the movietube jr will be offering a leica mount, I assume it's predecessor's did too.

Ozduc, what lens are you using, and what adapter if you please?

[ozduc]

No adapter, just the Leica lens that came with the camera

I have 2 leica lenses that I had put away for safe keeping, that I had thought of using. I have a Brevis...I will look into that as well... pm Dennis. BTW, I am currently using Canon lenses

What is the difference betweent the R and M lenses?

Different mounts. M is Leica's rangefinder system, R is their SLR. For the most part the quality of the glass is the same but the R lenses can often be had for much less money. Obviously either are more than good enough for this sort of work.
