Something still confuses me about the legalities of web videos. If I own a blog or facebook or whatever and I link a video that someone else has made (thus posting it on my monetized site), is that completely legal?
I see blogs daily that link clips of news media or random youtube videos and on those sites they have banner ads, etc.
I'm assuming the line is drawn where you can't UPLOAD copyrighted materials onto the web and post them to your site, but if the content is already live you can simply link to it and that's fine regardless of whether or not your site is making money?
