You know when you get a song and then you dont have the rights for the song. When you put it in your editor and it does not play because you have the media rights. I hope you guys know what im talking about!

I want to buy some tracks online for the first time ever from itunes or rhapsody, or whatever and I wanted to know if you get the media rights when you purchase them. Might sound like a stupid question but hey im new to downloading online music.

Richard Band also has some nice long tracks you can use. I've seen at least one major HW movie where I recognized the music, and yep, sure enough, it was him, so he's no slouch. He has a wide varirety and has composed most of the stuff, that I have anyways to date, that's in a scale where you can splice pieces from different tracks together.

Anyways, google it and have a listen.

/edit: He did some of the 'Smart Sound' stuff that's pretty handy for a low budget minded guy.
Very easy to splice bits and pieces and shape your own dynamics.

//crap. Just reading his bio I see that he scored the "Pit and the Pendulm" 1990, so I guess I missed that, but the original with Vincent Price I loved. Hmmmm. Didn't even know they did a remake. Ummmm, couldn't have been that good I take it. Anyways...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pit_and_the_Pendulum_(1990_film)) [link fixed]
