Legal Agreement from Hell: You Decide

I was considering submitting a documentary I've been working on to this competition, but I started reading their "offical" rules and was pretty disturbed. You tell me if its a bad idea to enter into this competition if I'm planning on ever re-using, or making a different edit of my doc. I may even want to sell some of the footage elsewhere. I'm no lawyer but it sounds to me like they will sue me if I try to do anything of that sort...

Anyway take a look and tell me what you think of it:

I would not submit your documentary without first talking to a lawyer, who I suspect would confirm your reading of these rules.

My opinion: Not worth it for a grand. Any project that really matters to you is worth more than 1000 dollars

By entering their competition, what you are in fact doing is giving them your intellectual property and assigning all the ownership rights to them.
