LED with Color Adjustable

By strobe pattern, do you mean you can actually see it flickering on and off ? or do you mean that after watching the recorded video there is kind of a banding on the footage ? visual flickering can occur when the input voltage to the leds is below the rated minimum of operation by the driver that powers them. In that case, either the AC adapter is questionable or the internal led driver(s) are flaky. Recorded banding on the other hand is the PWM circuit (pulse width modulation) that controls the brightness of the leds and is evident at certain frame rates that the video is captured. If that is the case (and usually is), changing to a different shutter speed or frames per second on the camera usually resolves the matter. This is an issue that most led mfrs. do not seem to grasp as the newer cameras on the market have variable frame rates for slo mo and cinematic effects. The led unit was probably designed to operate at the nominal 29.97/30 fps NTSC before the consideration of the possible variable rates. Try changing the speed/fps and see if that makes a difference. Now if the flicker/strobing is actually observable at the unit itself, then the led electronics are at fault. Check also the AC mains or try another AC socket to see if that resolves the problem. Barn doors have nothing to do with strobing.

I get it, you probably meant the vertical and horizontal SHADOWS that are cast on the wall by the light as you adjust the barndoors. Correct ?. This is the problem when many small leds are used together. Shadows get less dense because fewer leds are being exposed to the sides as the angle changes. Only one solution, is to put a diffuser in front of the leds so it looks like one huge rectangular led. BUT, you lose brightness.

Yes, I have used it before.

You got it!! Spot On!! I haven't tried your solution but I guess it will work just like your clear understanding of the problem in the first place!!

I realized that the Barndoors supplied/ equipped with this LED 1000 model is a bit weird (correct me if I am wrong) as it has this pattern on it:

I will try to attach a normal (no shinny pattern and plain black) barndoors and will let you know whether this might solve the problem too or not.

The Color Adjustable + Dimmer features are really sweet and don't want these two being rendered useless because of the LED accessories itself right?

Will let you guys know soon on both solutions outcome.

On a lot of the LED lights, you can turn the barndoors around so the black side faces in -- no need to buy or jury rig anything extra (although the silver on the outside looks strange when the light is closed up).

At worst, this may require removing and replacing a few screws and nuts.
