LED- the Z96 or ALZO 790??

That Alzo looks just like the CN126, available on ebay for $40 including free shipping. I've got a CN126, it seems like a decent enough light, certainly for $40.

That's a buy-it-now for $40, but they might also take a lower offer. I got a couple of the Yongnuo 160's for $60 apiece by using the "best offer" option. The CN126 and the Yongnuo's can take DVX100 batteries, which is what I use with 'em, although the full-size 5400mah battery can make it a bit top-heavy for the mount.

Also, beware dimming ANY of these LED lights, if you're using a CMOS camcorder. Dimmed LEDs = nasty scrolling bands in your footage.

Thanks.Wow $40? How can I find out if it IS in fact the Alzo?

according to this one review, the Z96 has a much softer spread, making it better for interview purposes.

Not sure if an extra $60 is worth it though

Well after looking at the Alzo I can say that the cn126 looks absolutely identical. I can't say that is definitely a rebadged cn126 or if the cn126 is a clone of the Alzo.

I have a z96 here too but I haven't opened it yet. I think I need a different kind of battery for it.

For the price the ng126 is "great" but I wouldn't say they its a great light, I have it. My biggest concerns was the 3200k filter wasn't even worth including and the mount is VERY flimsy. Run and gun the light moves all over the place. I never use it over my comers.

Looks like the z96 addresses those issues but I havent used it personally.

on the video i posted i was using a generic NP-F750 battery that i got for like $10 on ebay

the Z96 ball head shoe mount is pretty good, stays in place with no problems
