LED Ring Light Experiment

Hey. Just wanted to share with you a home made LED ring light project. I basically modified one of those £4 'Tent Lights' so that it had a 72mm thread that i could screw onto the front of my camera, with a hotshoe mounted battery pack taking 3AAs, with individual switches for inner and outer rings. Unfortunately last night i had to massacre this light with a craft knife to allow a 77mm ring to be used, and am now abandoning it to start from scratch with improvements such as a better/neater looking battery box, and to have white LEDS rather than the cheap slightly blue ones.

Ahhh Woolworths. Must be old batteries.

Looks neat, do you have a degrees kelvin value for those diodes?

No i dont. Is there a way of measuring it? All i know is that they are extremely cold! Its ok after white balancing, but not ideal, especially if its not the only light source.

I'm still working my way through a bulk pack of Woolworths batteries.
