LED Panels

I came across this site looking for some LED solutions.

Any of you who have some more technical knowledge of LEDs may be able to add some insight as to if these are a good deal. From what I can tell, they are a fairly viable option. Obviously color temp will be a huge factor, but they claim daylight balanced. These may not throw very far.

Maybe Richard from CooLights might be able to shed some "light" on this.

Edge lighting is used a lot in signs, all you do is get some clear acrylic and frost the surface, then light the edge, and the light is transfurred to the surface nicely.

There are companies that specialise in making edgelit signs, I am sure one of them would be able to make you something like this easily.

Rosco make a nice product called LitePads which are very useful, and work in the same way.

Pete.

there just led light panels and they work great but ask me some questions so i can tell you some more info about them

These kinds of things are fine for making something in-frame look bright. But the devices are not bright enough to illuminate other things, especially at any distance (such as would be used for video/cine production).
