Just finished reading this article...

I realize that a lot of the magic in the car shots there were because the Alexa does so well in low light, but it was really interesting to read about the rig they set up-variable color, variable strength, all wirelessly controlled. Anyone ever set up a DIY car rig with LED strips? They have RGB waterproof LEDs that even come with a remote...

Did some forum searches on LED ribbon but nothing came up. Anyone have any experience with this type of stuff? It seems like it's much cheaper and much more versatile than a Kino car rig unit.

When you're flooding a scene with a certain color light (like they did in Drive -- simulating a red light or a green light and the fill that it would produce), CRI is of less importance. Were you talking about the CRI of the Youtube LEDs or the LiteGear LEDs or just LEDs in general? If it's the latter, yeah -- we all know about that, that's a different thread.
