Lectrosonics Hand Mic Transmitter

Hi all!

I am looking to move up from my ew100 g2 system. I have the hand mic transmitter (which some people call an uncouth name) for ew100 (for use with my EV RE50 thanks all!) and I want to get something like that in a 200 or 400 series lectrosonics system (should I get 200 series or 400 series). I would like to get a dual purpose setup so that I could use the hand mic or a wireless lav. I need the receiver to be smallish so that I can strap it on an hvx if I am not using my SD302. I already have my sanken cos-11 mics wired for lectro, so that is a non-issue. Any advice (part #s)? I am in Seattle, so if anyone (wabbit) knows what freq block I should get, please say so!

Thanks in advance!

Sorry if this post is too lazy or demanding!

Mike,

Check out the Lectrosonics Web site for the block/frequency compatibility chart that will show you block by block, based on location, where your conflicts are.

There are tons of options with Lectro - if you're not adverse to used - the 211 Rx is a great choice, along with a 200 or 400 series Tx (if you go 400 series, make sure you buy one that can do the different modes 100, 200, 400, other). The LM Tx isn't bad, though it is lower powered (I think 50mW vs. 100mW for the UM400.)

Because size is an issue for you (no pun intended), I won't recommend the 400a Rx, though this is a really good low cost 400 series option for those working on a cart - I paid $550 each for 400a's (they are exactly the same internals as the 401 Rx, firmware-wise, just not as well shielded and no 9V battery option).

Thanks Phil!

I will look at cart based stuff for my flypack I am building.

I am feeling better about this, the lectro parts seem a little daunting to figure out.

Location Sound always has a ton of used Lectro under their Rental/Used page on the web. You might find something there.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the advice! i looked the the venue system and it seems like a great soloution for a flypack (cheap too). Thanks for the advice!
